4D WEBMASTERS, LLP PRIVACY STATEMENT

This Privacy Statement states the privacy practices for 4D WebMasters, LLP. ("4D", “4D WebMasters”  "We", “Our” or "Us") and how it treats the information that 4D WebMasters collects and receives, including information related to your use of 4D WebMasters products and services. This policy only applies to the practices of 4D WebMasters and does not cover companies that we do not own or control, or to people that 4D WebMasters does not employ or manage.

Information that Is Collected Directly by 4D WebMasters:
4D collects account and billing information from customers in order for 4D to perform work on their behalf. This work may include such services as registering a domain name, procuring a web hosting site or creating graphics and text. This information may be collected in person, over the phone or via a website.  Information collected includes:
Contact information: e.g. name, address, email, phone
Financial Information: e.g. Credit Card number, expiration date
This information is used for billing purposes by 4D WebMasters and our business partners.

Information that Is Automatically Collected on 4D Websites.
IP Address
We do not currently collect or use IP addresses. However, this information may be collected in the future to identify trends, optimize and administer the website, or gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not liked to any “Personal Information”.

Cookies
A cookie is a parcel of text sent by a server to a web browser and then sent back unchanged by the browser each time it accesses that server. HTTP cookies are used for authenticating, tracking, and maintaining specific information about customers, such as site preferences and the contents of their electronic shopping carts.  Cookies may be used to allow customers to log into a site and not have to enter their password more than once.  Customers have the ability to reject the cookie. This site will still function properly although the customer may have to re-authenticate.

4D WebMasters Referral Program
Some pricing packages require that the customer agree to be a reference account for 4D WebMasters.  The exact nature of the reference is negotiated individually; e.g. email only, phone only, US mail only, or any combination there-of; and is included in the individual customer contract.

4D WebMasters Accounts Created by a Third Party on Your Behalf.
4D WebMasters does not directly host website nor register domain names.  These services are coordinated by 4D on your behalf. You may have also registered you domain name and/or engaged a hosting service directly without the support of 4D (e.g. http://hometown.aol.com/<yourscreenname>/myhomepage/<yourbusiness>.htm)  Also, if you received your domain name from someone else, without registering for it yourself, your domain name may belong to a managed domain. In this case the administrator of that company (e.g. your ISP) can create your domain name for you. You can then use the domain name like any other domain name. The administrator, however, has access to the domain name and can edit your 4D WebMasters profile, reset your password, and manage your website without your additional consent. In addition to the terms mentioned in this Privacy Statement, an account created by a third party allows any of your Personal Information within that account to be available to that third party as if they were you. We have no access to or control over the third party to prevent their disclosure of your information.

Communicating with Our Customers:
We use Personal Information (such name, telephone number or email address) to communicate with our customers when they have questions, concerns or comments about their accounts or the services that we provide. Likewise, we use the same information to contact customers directly during the normal course of our business relationship.  Emails and voice mails may or may not be saved for some period of time.

Promotional Communications from 4D WebMasters
Customers will occasionally receive information from 4D WebMasters on products, services and promotions. However, our customers have the ability to Opt-Out. Customers who do not wish to receive such information can opt-out by replying to the message and typing "unsubscribe" in the subject line in the email. The may also send email directly to support@4dwebmasters.com   .

Information Shared With Third Parties.
We share information with third parties as required by Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN)* in order to give our customers access to full suite of service. This includes:

Ö Submit the name, postal address, e-mail address, and phone numbers associated with the registrant, administrative, technical and billing contacts of a domain name to the appropriate Registry or registration database. This information is included in a publicly available 'Whois' database, in accordance with ICANN rules. This sharing of information is required by ICANN rules.

Ö Use a credit card processing company to bill customers for goods and services. These companies do not use Personal Information for any use other than credit card processing; however, we will not be responsible or liable for use of the information required by credit card companies in contravention of their policies, contractual obligations or general good business procedures.

Ö Partner with third parties who provide services to our customers. When the customer signs up for or agrees to receive a specific service provided by the third party ( e.g online advertisers), we share the information that is needed for the third party to provide the services.

Ö Share the publicly available domain contact information submitted by our customers for inclusion in the Whois database with third parties. We do not control the use of this Personal Information by third parties.

* ICANN is the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers. Headquartered in Marina Del Rey, California, ICANN is a California non-profit corporation that was created on September 18, 1998 in order to oversee a number of Internet-related tasks previously performed directly on behalf of the U.S. Government by other organizations, notably IANA. The tasks of ICANN include managing the assignment of domain names and IP addresses. To date, much of its work has concerned the introduction of new generic top-level domains. The technical work of ICANN is referred to as the IANA function; the rest of ICANN is mostly about defining policy.

Legal Concerns:
We will provide Personal Information:

Ö to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal processes.

Ö to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.

Ö to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of 4D WebMasters' terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.

Sale or Transfer of 4D WebMasters:
 If all or a portion of 4D WebMasters is transferred, sold, merged, ceases operations, goes bankrupt, or is otherwise involved in a transaction where the ownership or management of 4D WebMasters is changed then all Personal Information or other customer information may be transferred or assigned to a third party as part of the transfer.

Correction/Updating Personal Information
Customers must provide accurate and correct contact information (name, address, e-mail, phone number) for their domain name(s) Registrant, Administrative, Technical and Billing contacts, which will be listed in a publicly accessible 'Whois' database, in compliance with ICANN rules. If a customer's Personal Information changes, or if a customer no longer desires 4D WebMasters' services, we will provide a way to correct, update or remove that customer's personal data provided to us. This can be accomplished by emailing support@4dwebmasters.com.

Terminated 4D WebMasters Business Relationships
If the business relationship between a customer and 4D WebMasters is completed, terminated or cancelled, all of your Personal Information will remain in our possession. We retain and use your Personal Information as necessary to enforce our policies or to address contractual issues, and may contact you for future marketing or promotional purposes.

Use of the 4D WebMasters Website by Persons Under Age 13
This website is not intended for use by anyone under the age of thirteen (13), and any individual under such age should not provide us with Personal Information. We do not knowingly contact, market to, solicit, collect or use Personal Information from or about any individual under the age of 13. It is possible that by fraud or deception we may receive information pertaining to children under 13. If we are notified of that we have personal information regarding a person under the age of 13, as soon as we reasonably verify the information, we will either obtain parental consent or otherwise delete the information from the account and/or service.. Linking to Third Party Websites:
This website may contains links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites. We encourage our customers to be aware when they leave our website and to read the Privacy Statements of each and every website that collects Personal Information. This Privacy Statement applies solely to information collected by this website.

Customers Must Protect Their Personal Information
Customers are required to keep their passwords confidential and to not share this information with others. If you choose to reveal or share your password and account name, we are unable to guarantee the security of your account.

Changes to Our Privacy Statement:
This Privacy Statement may change, and use of information that we gather now is subject to the Privacy Statement that is in effect as of the time of use. You are responsible for periodically checking our Privacy Statement. You may opt-out of any posted change to our collection, use or disclosure of your personal information by sending an e-mail to support@4Dwebmasters.com. If we make minor changes to this Privacy Statement, the changes will be immediately effective upon posting the revised Privacy Statement to the website. If we make material changes to this Privacy Statement or in how we will use or collect your Personal Information, we will prominently post a notification on our website of the changed Privacy Statement ten (10) days prior to implementing the change. The date at the bottom of this Privacy Statement is the date that the Privacy Statement is effective.
